In the realm of ancient wisdom's embrace,
Oh, to witness another man's embrace,
To see her nestled there, in his arms' trace,
A pang of longing, deep within my core,
For the chance I missed, the opportunity no more.
In the vast tapestry of life's fleeting scene,
Where choices made shape the path unseen,
I ponder the road not taken, with remorse,
Yearning for a kiss, a love's passionate force.
To have intertwined our beings, spirit and flesh,
Creating memories that the stars in heavens enmesh,
Alas, the moment slipped away like grains of sand,
Leaving my heart heavy, a yearning I can't withstand.
Confucius, wise sage, would teach of virtue's way,
But in matters of love, what words could he convey?
Regret weighs heavy, like the anchor on a ship,
As I dream of what might have been, with longing grip.
Yet, in reflection's realm, I find solace profound,
For life's tapestry weaves its twists around,
Lessons learned, as regrets shape wisdom's flow,
To cherish moments present, and let the past's echo go.
For the stars above, in their celestial array,
Remind me of the beauty that surrounds me each day,
And though passion's flame may have eluded my hand,
In the depths of the universe, new opportunities stand.
So, let this Confucian poem serve as a guide,
To cherish what's before us, with hearts open wide,
For life's vast journey presents chances anew,
To create beautiful memories, love's essence true.
